Well, if your site had been receiving thousands of visitors, things might have changed OVERNIGHT! That’s right it’s just matter of few seconds before your current SERP rankings could be history; it has happened with thousands and millions of sites over the past few weeks, especially ever since Google launched their Farmer/Panda update to take down content farms!

Has Panda Update Actually Helped?
It’s understandable that they feel all the eHow articles are not of top quality, and the big brands were ruling the search engines just due to the brand-name, and search results should be indicative of quality of info. But, after the Panda update, things haven’t really improved.
As a matter of fact, MORE spammy sites are ranking in top pages of Google, and as a result people are moving to Yahoo! & Bing to get some traffic to their sites. We’ve seen sites that have NO THIN CONTENT whatsoever, and still have been banned by Google for no obvious reasons, while the spammy sites that have very little content are still surviving happily.
What Are Webmasters Saying?
It’s amazing to see the comments posted on Amit Singhal’s recommendations on Webmastercentral to survive Google Panda update, and even more surprising that Google support team doesn’t even bother to answer HUNDREDS of comments directly telling them on their face that Panda update is going in wrong direction!
What Can You Do to Survive Panda/Farmer Update?
As of now, it’s now very clear why your site (if that’s the case!) has been penalized, in most cases, which makes it even tougher to take counter-measures to survive the Google Panda update.
The sites/blogs that have been completely banned are a bigger mystery, though the once that have just lost substantial traffic are advised to take down their low quality pages, and re-build the sites to the best standards, in order to deliver seamless user experience, and get back the top SERP rankings.
Survival is going to be tough, and Google says it’s just the beginning, and Panda update is just a part of the 11 updates they’re going to roll out this year; so it’s high time you reviewed your website, even if it hasn’t suffered yet!

I have read the official report from Google which states that that Panda 2 algorithm will go live soon, which will likewise impact different than English languages and will go globality. Since March, I gained a lot more top 10 Google ranks, as top results become better and do not contain numerous article directories, auto-blogs and replicate content. I do believe that’s why, around webmaster’s and search engine optimization user discussion forums it was labeled “farmer update”.
